Ray Barron Strength & Honor Fund Scholarship Nomination Form 2021–2022
The Ray Barron Strength & Honor Fund was created in memory of Coach Ray Barron, a Colorado wrestling coach and icon in the sport for almost 50 years. Coach’s signature mustache and silver tooth made his physical presence stand out, but it was the way he interacted with his wrestlers and the values he instilled in them that made him memorable. Strength and honor are two key characteristics Coach demonstrated every day of his life and brought out in every athlete he coached. This scholarship aims to recognize Colorado wrestlers who exhibit strength and honor on and off the mat, in all aspects of life. These values are evident in sportsmanship, work ethic, personal relationships, and achievement, as well as inside the classroom and on the mat.

By completing this form, you’re nominating a Colorado wrestler in whom you recognize these traits. Your nomination is the first step of the process. Each nominated wrestler will be provided with an application to be evaluated by the RBS&HF Scholarship Selection Committee. The selected wrestler(s) will receive a $10,000 scholarship to be used toward any recognized higher-education institution, including trade schools.
