Sign up for PA Monthly Classes
Thank you for showing interest in our latest training project!

Pathfinders has received funding from Skills for Care to deliver a free Monthly Story-Based Learning Class for Personal Assistants. This will be an online, holistic, practical and peer-led learning programme for PAs who want to develop their skills, understanding, empathy, reflection, and pride in the PA role while receiving real-world examples of best practice. There will be a focus on neuromuscular conditions, but this training will be helpful to any PA supporting someone with complex needs.

In the first half of each class, an experienced PA Employer with a neuromuscular condition and one of their PAs will talk through a case study example of challenges and best practice working together. This will demonstrate to you how to provide the best care and support for your Employer, enabling them to live independently, with autonomy, choice and control over their life. The second half of the class is an open space for you to ask questions, seek advice, and problem solve with other PAs.

Each month we will discuss a variety of topics, about how you can best respect your Employer’s boundaries, autonomy, choice & control, communication, and privacy.

These classes will be monthly on Zoom on Tuesdays for 1 hour.
