Please join us for “Remembrance and the Movement for Justice,” a “comfort women” advocacy teach-in facilitated by Dr. Elizabeth Son, Associate Professor in the Dept. of Theatre at Northwestern University, and KAN-WIN CW Team member. This teach-in will explore the role of remembrance in advocacy for gender-based justice, specifically the importance of the Statue of Peace and Global Action Day to the “comfort women” social movement. The workshop will be followed by a sign-making session in preparation for Global Action Day! This event is hybrid, and the teach-in will also be available virtually.
