'Learning On' 'לומדים הלאה' - registration form and volunteer information.
In the aftermath of October 7 th , those affected by the attacks and the country as a whole are fighting to restore the routines of normal life and rebuild from the acts of terror committed against the residents of southern Israel. One of the areas where families are continuing to be affected is in the education of displaced students and those affected by the growing security concerns. To aid in this process our group, ‘Learning On’, is seeking volunteers that can provide educational opportunities to students in Israel via remote learning. For more details about our group and mission, please see below. If you are interested in volunteering as a remote educator, please fill out the form below. More about ‘Learning On’
'Learning On' is a new free distance learning initiative that will primarily serve residents of Israel’s southern part bordering with Gaza, and Israel’s north, but will be available to students across Israel as well. We aim to take learning to the next level. The organization is led by a group of graduates of the Israeli High School for Arts and Sciences (IASA), an institution forgifted and outstanding students, which integrates a boarding school and advocates the values of promoting learning out of curiosity, volunteering and contributing to the community. In addition, we are building a team of volunteers that includes individuals spanning various fields and academic background, including professors, qualified educators, professionals from the private sector, high-tech (including startups) workers, programmers, entrepreneurs and more, who joined the effort and chose to invest their time in education among the general public and youth.

The founder of our organization is Neta Rose. Neta is a graduate of IASA, a young pre-draft who is engaged in research in neurology and data science towards publishing an article in the subject, and is carrying out projects in an international venture capital fund.

Aspirations/Goals
Despite the deterioration in the security situation and the horrors we have endured, we will not allow the learning abilities, self-development, and curiosity of the children and youth of the south and the north to be harmed. We believe that the path to sanity in difficult times is routine and progress. In order to realize these aspirations, we have gathered professional and highly motivated volunteers whose goal is to provide personal guidance while providing in-depth educational enrichment to the students. In addition we are now about to begin activities on a broader scale, including webinars and professional guest lectures in fields such as finance, life sciences, philosophy, theater, medicine, archaeology, and more. Our main goal as an organization is to provide an educational solution for the public, and for youth in particular, at times when there is a real difficulty in the proper functioning of the education system in Israel.

Most of the lessons are conducted digitally (via Zoom / Google Meet). Therefore, prior basic knowledge of digital lessons is recommended. It is important to note that we will be happy to help and teach even those who are less proficient in this aspect. One of the future goals of the project is to enable face-to-face classes to be held in the evacuation areas by mobilizing the staff.
