Introduction to Online Teaching
The Reinert Center is now accepting registrations for upcoming sessions of the online seminar, Introduction to Online Teaching. The seminar, which is offered completely online through Blackboard, provides a pedagogical foundation for Saint Louis University faculty who are new to the online teaching environment.

Please note: for faculty who have not received preparation related to teaching in the online environment, this course or its equivalent is now required for teaching online courses at SLU. Learn more about general requirements for SLU faculty teaching online, including expectations for using SLU’s Online Course Design Rubric and the Peer Review Process at https://www.slu.edu/provost/distance_education/

Faculty enrolled in the seminar will work asynchronously, with no face-to-face meetings. The seminar requires a commitment of approximately 3 hours per week over a four-week period to complete. By the end of the seminar, participants will have a draft of a design plan for an online course designed to meet SLU’s Online Course Design Rubric.

To register, please click the Next button below and complete the form. Space is limited, and priority consideration will be given to faculty who are scheduled to teach an online course. If a session does not have a minimum of 5 participants we reserve the right to ask you to move to another session.
