Thank you for your interest in applying for the UTS LSS Textbook Equity Scheme 2018. We really hope that this helps lighten the financial burden of the cost of law textbooks!
The Textbook Equity Scheme is where you request the textbooks that you require for the coming teaching session and - depending on availability - receive the textbook at no cost. The textbooks are then returned at the end of the examination period, ready for the next teaching session. Completing this form covers the Autumn and Spring sessions of 2018, as well as the Summer session of 2018/19 - you do not need to complete this form again prior to the Spring 2018 session.
Please note that you must be able to prove financial disadvantage in order to be eligible for the Textbook Equity Scheme. This includes:- receiving a Centrelink payment (e.g. Youth Allowance, Newstart, Austudy, ABSTUDY, Family Tax Benefit A and/or B, Disability Pension, etc.)- Low Income Health Care Card- Pensioners' Concession Card- UTS Diversity Access Scholarship (or a scholarship related to financial hardship)- being accepted to UTS under the Schools Recommendation Scheme (for first year students only)
If you are not able to prove such disadvantage, please instead consider applying for the Textbook Rental Scheme, which you can find out more about on the UTS LSS website, www.utslss.com.
It is preferred that you have scanned your proof of financial disadvantage prior to the completion of the form. Please also ensure that you sign into your UTS Student Account (or a Google account) in order to upload your files. If for whatever reason you are unable to do so at the moment, please scan and email your relevant documents to Lachlan Woods (Equity Director) at firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible, making 'Your Name - UTS LSS Textbook Equity Scheme documents' the heading.
If you have any questions regarding the Textbook Equity Scheme, please do not hesitate to contact Lachlan Woods at the above email.
