The Government is committed to giving access to 2Mbps download speed to every property in the UK by the end of 2015. As part of this East Sussex County Council, working with Broadband Delivery UK (BDUK), is administering a better broadband subsidy scheme. This scheme contributes towards the equipment and installation of a basic broadband connection.
East Sussex is opening up the scheme to premises that are currently not able to access internet speeds of greater than 2Mbps and will not benefit from the fibre deployment.
Simply complete the application form, answering all the questions and your eligibility for the scheme can then be determined. This will depend on what services are currently available to you and whether or not you will be in the build plan for fibre broadband. If you wish to find out more about the fibre build in East Sussex, enter the required details into the checker at either http://gosuperfastchecker.culture.gov.uk/ or on the East Sussex website at http://www.esussex.org
