Ethnic Studies Educator Institute

Presented by UCLA History-Geography Project & LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes

Art inspires our souls to move, our eyes to dance, and our hearts to beat. Learn how arte can also empower and educate students. This Ethnic Studies Educator Institute will spotlight the cultural vibrancy and pedagogy of música, arte, poesía, teatro y comida. Each installment of this series includes conversations with artists, scholars, and activists, as well as hands-on workshops presented by teacher leaders who will explore culturally-relevant teaching strategies that build literacy and connect students to their communities and culture.

This series is partially funded by the State of California to mitigate student learning loss resulting from the COVID pandemic.

UCLA Extension Credits and Salary Points available.
