Application for Early Childhood Inclusive Professional Development by Every Child

Com.It.Es San Francisco, in partnership with Every Child, announces the opening of an application for an exceptional training opportunity aimed at public and private early childhood educators. This program focuses on Italian-derived methods and philosophies, such as Reggio Emilia and Montessori, blended with practical and evidence-based strategies that promote and foster the inclusion of neurodiverse students so that EVERY CHILD can learn together. Our ultimate goal is to equip early education communities with the tools to enhance children's learning outcomes, influence preschool culture towards inclusion, and develop teachers' expertise in inclusive approaches in early childhood education. Workshop Topics:

1) Educational Pedagogy: Emphasizing child-centered approaches that empower and engage young learners.
2) Inclusion of Autistic Children: Strategies and practices to create a supportive and inclusive environment for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
3) Implementation of Evidence-Based Strategies: Practical techniques and approaches based on research and proven to be effective in educational settings.
4) Legislation and the Right to Foster Inclusion: Understanding the legal frameworks and rights that support inclusive education.

Preschool Criteria for Selection:
1) Preschools must have at least one toddler to preschool aged classroom (ages 18 months to 5 years). Programs with more than one classroom and greater number of children with ASD currently enrolled or on waitlist will be given higher priority.
2) Preschool director or leadership must demonstrate a history support of inclusive practices.
3) Preschools who are in regions or counties with fewer inclusive school options and need more support to disseminate and develop inclusive schools will be prioritized.
