Method of Instruction Request
The Cameron R-1 School District is offering students grades K-12 the opportunity to select the means of instruction that best fits their needs during the 2020-2021 school year. Families will have the choice between on-line instruction or face-to-face instruction.
On-line instruction will be recorded lessons. Students are expected to watch the lesson, and complete assignments, quizzes and assessments that mirror what is happening in the classroom. Students enrolled in on-line lessons will not be exempt from grading or assigned work, and grading protocols found in the building handbook will be applied to all on-line classes.
Students choosing face-to-face instruction will report to the building daily for traditional instruction.
We are requesting that families fill out a form for EACH child, grades K-12, attending the Cameron R-1 District in the fall. Families may elect on-line for one child and face-to-face for the second child. The decision can be made based on what you as the parent feel is the best educational setting and environment for each individual child.
For planning and scheduling, students selecting either on-line or face-to-face instruction will be required to remain in that modality the entire semester, or through December 2020. Exceptions to this deadline will be made on a case-by-case basis.
If you have any questions regarding the form or information requested, feel free to contact your child's school. Application deadline is WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 5, 2020.
