Dear South African Olympians,
With the recent launch of the South African Olympians Association (SAOA) as an affiliate of World Olympians Association (WOA), we are building a database of all Olympians that have represented South Africa since 1904!
The database is solely for the use of SAOA to coordinate our communication efforts. It will never be shared with any third party. However, it may be cross-referenced with the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (SASCOC)'s database for confirmation of participation and legitimacy.

As Olympians we acknowledge the important role coaches and support staff played in us reaching the pinnacle of our sporting careers. However, as per WOA membership regulations, Olympians Associations such as ours, are exclusively for athletes who represented our country at an Olympic Games - be it Summer or Winter.
By joining SAOA, you as an Olympic athlete will be able to stay informed regarding exciting initiatives we will be rolling out around our two-fold mandate:
- Supporting Olympians in their transition from having a majority focus on participating in sport, to taking up a post-Olympic career; and
- Spreading the ideals of Olympism through grassroots community projects with a specific focus on South Africa's youth.
Please help us gain some traction and spread the word by sharing this link with your fellow teammates and Olympians, regardless whether they are still competing or not!
