We warmly invite you to book a tour of the Shed at any time (see details further down this page).
Following your visit, if you wish to become a member, your name will be added to our waiting list and confirmed by email.
Due to an exceptionally high volume of membership applications, we have introduced a waiting list. This measure allows us to uphold our duty of care to all new members, ensuring proper induction and familiarisation, attention to health and safety, safeguarding our vulnerable members, and respectful integration into our existing community.
As of today, prospective members joining the waiting list will likely be invited to join us around:-
- December 2026 / January 2027 - All invites are sent out on the 10th of the month.
This estimate is reviewed regularly and may be adjusted as tours and applications progress.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we maintain the standards that make our organisation safe, welcoming, and inclusive for everyone.

We warmly invite you to book a guided tour of our facilities, where you'll discover the many benefits of membership. Tours are entirely obligation-free and we encourage you to take your time and ensure Ascot Shed is the right fit for you.
What to expect on the tour:
- A guided walk‑through of the workshop, tools, and equipment.
- An overview of how we operate day‑to‑day, including supervision and safety.
- A chance to meet a few members if they’re in during your visit.
- A relaxed conversation about your interests, skills, and how you might like to get involved.
- Time for any questions you may have about membership, projects and the community.
- You will be offered Tea, Coffee and Biscuits.

✏️ The Person Seeking to Join us
We ask that the person who would like to take the tour makes their own booking. This helps us be sure the visit is something they’re personally interested in, supports personal choice, consent, safeguarding and allows us to keep our records accurate.
Friends, family members or support workers are very welcome to come along, but the
Person Seeking to Join us should make the booking themselves.
🗓️ Tour Availability
- Tours are available only during our opening hours
- Strictly on Monday or Friday only
- At either 11:00 am or 2:00 pm.
- Duration: approximately 60 minutes.
- Please note: tours are NOT available on any other days or times.
As Ascot Shed is run by volunteers, we kindly request at least 2 days’ notice when booking but, more is appreciated, this helps to ensure a tour guide is available to host your tour.

- To book your tour, please complete the form below.
- Choose a date that is in accordance with our opening dates shown below avoiding the holidays etc.
- You’ll receive a confirmation email from our booking systems calendar.
- Please do not attend until this confirmation arrives, which may take up to 48 hours, and ensure you check your spam/junk folder in case the confirmation email ends up there.
If you haven’t received the confirmation email in time for your chosen booking then please contact us.
We ask that you arrive promptly for your confirmed time, as group tours always begin on schedule.
Please contact us to let us know if you are no longer able to attend your booking.

Please note: All visitors (including friends, family and support workers)
- We are not currently wheelchair accessible.
- There are steps, stairs, and slopes throughout the site.
- You must follow safety and fire instructions during the tour.
- For regulatory compliance you must sign in when you arrive and sign out when leaving.
🚗 Parking Information (We recommend car parks 3 or 6)- Free all-day parking (non-race days) is available at car park 3 & car park 6 (5 min walk to shed).
- Free parking on the high street is available for up to 1 hour.
- On-site parking is very limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Details will be sent with the booking confirmation.

- Saturday & Sunday (104 Days): Closed
- Easter (2 days): Closed
- Bank Holidays (3 days): Closed
- Royal Ascot Week (5 days): Closed
- Christmas to New Year (≅ 10 days): Closed
