Carsharing is a model of car use in which people rent publically available cars for short periods of time, often by the hour, regularly or for single trips. Carsharing benefits individuals and companies who can gain the benefits of private cars without having costs and responsibilities associated with car ownership. Instead a household accesses a fleet of vehicles on an as-needed basis.  It reduces the environmental impact of a car use as with carsharing there is no need for each household or company to own a separate car.

LEADER Gute supported the pre-study to collect information for starting biogas-based carsharing on Gotland.

This survey will allow to understand conditions and preferences of potential users of ecological carsharing.
