Volunteers are provided a free Lilly Pulitzer volunteer shirt, pre-match meal, free parking, and a companion ticket (excluding July 26th -- volunteers working the July 26th match will instead receive two additional tickets for the Sunday, July 28th match.) Towards the end of the season, Freedoms Owner Billie Jean King will also host all volunteers at a reception as a thank you for your time and hard work!
There will be a mandatory orientation on Tuesday, June 25th at 6 p.m. at Hagan Arena. You will be emailed with your volunteer match schedule (minimum of three matches worked) no later than one week prior to the first match.
Additionally, Saint Joseph's University requires all Freedoms staff and volunteers to receive Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance certification in order to work in Hagan Arena. ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST receive certification in order to work the Freedoms season. The website for certification can be accessed by clicking the following link: https://www.compass.state.pa.us/cwis/public/home
A step by step guide to registering for the website and the form can be accessed by clicking here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1BaXh5VUa4E2VMUpUUYzLC7ixFvK1l9NDJQrbQ-xpD1o/edit?usp=sharing
Upon receiving your certificate via email (as a .PDF attachment), please download the attachment and send to email@example.com
If you already have a Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance certification, you may download and send that directly to our Pennsylvania Compliance Intern in lieu of filling out the form.
We thank you in advance for your time and are looking forward to seeing you this season!
