A report prepared by the Congressional Budget Office and the Joint Committee on Taxation to assess the impact of repealing the ACA determined that “the number of people who are uninsured would increase by 18 million in the first new plan year following enactment of the bill” and that premiums for individual policies would increase by 20-25%.¹
