Waiver and Release of Liability

In consideration for being allowed to participate in the BJJ Battle Royale (the "Event"), I hereby acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. I am aware that the sport of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu involves physical contact and risk of injury, including but not limited to, sprains, strains, fractures, dislocations, and other serious injuries, including death.

2. I acknowledge that I have been advised to seek medical advice from my physician prior to participating in the Event and that I have done so, or that I have voluntarily waived my right to do so.

3. I agree to abide by the rules and regulations of the BJJ Battle Royale and any instructions given by the Event officials.

4. I assume all risks of injury or harm that may occur as a result of my participation in the BJJ Battle Royale and release and discharge the Event organizers, their agents, employees, volunteers, and sponsors from any and all liability, claims, or causes of action arising out of my participation in the BJJ Battle Royale, including any injury or harm that may result from the negligence of the Event organizers, their agents, employees, volunteers, and sponsors.

5. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Event organizers, their agents, employees, volunteers, and sponsors from any and all liability, claims, or causes of action arising out of my participation in the BJJ Battle Royale, including any injury or harm that may result from the negligence of the Event organizers, their agents, employees, volunteers, and sponsors.

6. I agree that this waiver and release of liability shall be binding on my heirs, assigns, and legal representatives.

7. I agree that this waiver and release of liability shall be governed by the laws of the state in which the BJJ Battle Royale is held.

I have carefully read and fully understand this waiver and release of liability and voluntarily sign it.
