Carleton Computer Science Comps Sign-up Sheet
If you are going to be a compsing CS major during the 2019-2020 school year, please fill out and submit this form by 10:00pm Monday, May 13, 2019. Please try to get it right the first time, but if you change your mind, you will receive a link to edit your response when you submit. Save that link so you can make changes. We'll use the latest version that we have at the time of the deadline.

You can read more about the comps projects at: . The range of meeting times that comps advisors will be using for their comps groups are specified next to each project. Each project will meet only on a subset of the range specified, but you must be at least available for the entire time specified so that meetings can be scheduled for the team within that range.

Project Ratings *
For each project listed below, rate your interest in it **You may rate no more than five projects as uninterested (somewhat or very)**. (If more than that are rated as such, we will convert all of them to neutral. Likewise, any projects without a rating will be converted to neutral.) You should only mark "unavailable this term" if you are marking it consistently for all projects during that same term.

Are there reasons you wish to share?
If there are particular reasons for your favorite choices that you wish to share, please do so. If you have particular background that is relevant to your top projects, please mention it here.
Your answer
Course Background
Some of the projects have suggested prerequisites that students should have taken in order to be set up for success, and other projects are likely to work best if at least one student has at least some background in a particular area. Please check each course (or type of course) that you've taken or are currently taking to help us make the groups as successful as possible. You may check a box if you have taken the rough equivalent elsewhere, e.g. in an off-campus studies program.
Teammate preferences
If you'd like, give the names of one or two students you would like to work with. You may also specify one or two names of students you'd prefer not to work with. We will try to take this information into account when assembling the teams.
Your answer
Other preferences
Are there other things we should take into account when assigning teams? For instance, time of day preference for working, what your ideal group composition would be, whether you would rather emphasize working with particular people or your interest level in the project, etc. If you have hard constraints on exactly when you can meet but you indicated interested in a comps group that might meet at that time (e.g. "I must take a course from 10:10-11:50AM Tuesday/Thursday so I can't be in comps then"), please indicate your constraint here.
