The American Cancer Society National Campus Leadership Team is a team of (11) student volunteers who work in partnership with their National Relay For Life and ACS CAN staff partners to provide nationwide strategy and direction to the campus (high school and college) American Cancer Society market.
The team provides support to ACS RFL events, develops resources for students and ACS staff, implements high-level strategy, and facilitates collaboration among a national network of students, faculty, and staff who are committed to the fight against cancer with the American Cancer Society.
The National Campus Leadership Team strives to:
+ Drive growth and maintain excellence in fundraising, participation, and unity of the American Cancer Society’s college and high school market
+ Connect with and develop well-rounded and committed volunteers who understand their value, engage in not only fundraising, but also advocacy, cancer education, and survivor and caregiver engagement with their event leadership teams, and are empowered to be lifelong volunteers with the American Cancer Society
+ Provide strategic direction for the American Cancer Society campus movement and participate on workgroups to act as the voice for the campus market in all national American Cancer Society discussions and decisions.
Students serve a one-year term, with the possibility to continue for a second year. Members are expected to make the NCLT their primary American Cancer Society commitment throughout their term. You would be a great NCLT member if you have...
+ strong teamwork, written communication, and public-speaking skills;
+ the ability to motivate, manage, and mentor a committee of volunteers;
+ the ability to plan and strategize from a big-picture perspective; and
+ desire, enthusiasm, vision, dedication, and commitment to move the campus Relay For Life market to higher levels of success.
