Westside PTA Inclusion Program is looking for Volunteers to assist in a few Committee positions for the 2024 - 2025 school year.  Please review the Committee positions below to see if you could donate your time to this PTA program.

Special Education Committee - Ensures that disabilities and learning differences are represented in PTA activities. Advocate for the needs of our students and classrooms. Put together resources for our Special Education community as well as help plan for social hour and parent training.

Spanish Newsletter Committee - Help review and maintain the Spanish version of our PTA newsletters.

Foreign Language Committee - Help the community embrace cultural diversity through language. You'll be expected to teach a language of your choosing at the November and February PTA General Meetings to kids. As most PTA general meetings are an hour long, it's recommended for you to teach language 101 such as the alphabet (speaking and writing) and common words or phrases. Parents or community members who know American Sign Language are welcome. Advance planning is needed to ensure that all materials are produced before each meeting.
6 Volunteers needed
Zen Lounge Volunteer Committee - Committee members will be regular fixtures at our PTA events such as Fall Fest, Multicultural Night, Movie Night. These volunteers will be in rotation and will be assigned to manage our newly established Zen Lounge to ensure orderliness of the room during and after PTA events. Instructions for managing the Zen Lounge will be provided at a later date.
