Artemisa MSX Survey
This is a survey to know a little bit more about the users taste and preferences.
Your Name (optional)
What's your country?
What are your interests in Artemisa?
I really like it doesn't use FPGAs or software emulation. I want to feel a real Z80 in the motherboard.
My MSX computer is quite old, and I want to have a modern replacement for other 30 years.
I love electronics, and I would kill for soldering my own MSX.
I want to support homebrew makers.
I am a big fan of MSX, and I use to buy any new stuff.
What version of MSX are you interested?
MSX1 exclusively. That's what I had when I was a child. I don't need anymore.
MSX1, but I would not mind to have a MSX2 as well.
MSX2, but I would like to have also an Artemisa MSX1.
MSX2 only, if I want another MSX1 I can buy it in Ebay.
Anything other than MSX Turbo-R is a bullshit.
What kind of kit would you be interested?
DIY kit. I will receive the PCBs, all the components and really detailed instructions, and I am brave enough to solder and assemble the computer by myself.
Plug&Play kit. I will receive the computer completely assembled. I am scared of soldering, and prefer to pay much more if someone else does it for me.
Well, it depends. I'd take DIY only if there are some on-site workshops near my city to show me how to do it.
Oh, I just want the PCBs. I am a pro retrobrewer and I will get the parts by myself.
What's your favorite keyboard option?
Use an external PS2 keyboard with an adapter included by Artemisa. Seedy but unexpensive.
Use a custom mechanical keyboard designed for Artemisa. Beautiful but costly.
Do you have a NTSC tv set or monitor?
No, definitely tested but it doesn't work.
I don't know, but I would use a modern flat TV.
I don't know, but I would use a device that converts the signal to VGA/HDMI/whatever.
What's your favorite video connection for your MSX computer?
Composite video (CVBS) via RCA cables.
RGB video via SCART cable.
Component video (YPbPr) via RCA cables.
TV antenna signal.
How many cartridge slot connectors do you consider essential?
None. I don't use cartridges at all.
At least one. I use cartridges for some games.
At least two. I use external hardware combined with some software cartridges.
More than two. I am totally mad about MSX expansion and I want to connect my fridge to it.
How many joystick ports do you consider essential?
None. I am a OPQA lover.
None. I am a QAOP lover.
At least one. I am a lonely person.
At least two. Life doesn't worth if I cannot challenge my friends.
Do you use your cassette connector?
Yes, I am a big fan of Ocean software and their terrible ports from Spectrum.
No, only cartridges. Cassette is for losers.
Are you interested in purchasing an Artemisa computer?
No, I already have too many MSX computers!
No, I will wait for MSX 2 support if this ever happens.
