At Albion, we are committed to creating a community of belonging. Part of becoming a community of belonging is identifying the opportunities we may have to work together to remove bias from our language, actions, and interactions within the community. To do this, we need to develop our understanding of bias and to have a mechanism to report bias when we see it. This Bias Report serves as both a mechanism for continued learning and a mechanism for reporting suspected bias incidents in our campus community.

Your report will allow Albion College to respond to both individual cases and, when an individual is not identified, to use the information reported to establish patterns that guide the strategy of the Office of Belonging for continuing education and in addressing problematic and harmful behaviors.

Your confidentiality and trust are very important to us! We will make every effort to respect your privacy. Please be aware, however, in certain circumstances involving safety or criminal action, we may not be able to guarantee anonymity. The information contained in this report will be shared with the appropriate campus officials involved in an investigation or resolution of the incident. Albion College takes all reports of bias seriously. Please make your report as accurate and truthful as possible.

The bias reporting team will evaluate your report promptly, however, the timing and manner in which the College addresses the report will vary depending on the information provided and based on anonymity. The College does not guarantee it will respond to reports individually.
