COVID-19 NOTICE AND RELEASE: If you are having COVID-19 symptoms, which include fever, cough, and shortness of breath, have reason to believe you have been exposed to COVID-19 within two weeks of the race event and/or are diagnosed with COVID-19, you are excluded from participation in this event. This event format has been modified to protect the health and safety of all participants and the surrounding community. As such, there will be no social gathering of any kind before or after the event and event registration will be conducted online only to mitigate human contact. Event check-in will be conducted in-person on Friday (6/5/2020) between 6-8pm and Saturday (6/6/2020) between 9-11am. Only one person from each boat will be allowed in the check-in area at a time, preferably the Captain, and he or she must be wearing a face mask during the check-in process and while waiting in the check-in line. Those in the check-in line must wear a face mask and maintain six feet distance between each other. The check-in area will be disinfected between each guest at check-in. Each Captain is encouraged to observe social distancing guidelines, as set forth by LA County Health Department, for his or her crew during the race. By participating in this regatta you acknowledge that you are doing so at your own risk. Subject to the rapidly evolving guidelines governing the best-practices for re-opening, this race may be canceled or postponed at any time. Should the race be canceled or postponed, you will be notified by email and a phone call, and receive a full refund of your entry fee to your original payment method. We will be unable to refund t-shirt purchases, however, we will make arrangements for safe t-shirt delivery should that become necessary. *
RELEASE: For and in consideration of the acceptance by the Port Royal Yacht Club of my entry in this regatta, I hereby accept and risk and responsibilities of my boat’s participation in said regatta and waive to the fullest extent permitted by law any and all claims I may have against the Port Royal Yacht club, its members, officers, committees, agents, and/or employees arising out of or in any way connected to such participation. I agree to abide by The Racing Rules of Sailing and any other rules that apply. I further expressly agree that the foregoing release and waiver is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by law and that if any portion, clause, or sub-clause hereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full force and effect. I have carefully read this agreement and fully understand its contents. I am aware that this is a release of liability and waiver of claims and sign it of my free will. *
