Each team will play a minimum of 3 games every Thursday night, with each game consisting of 2 x 7min halves, with a 2min halftime break. That's a total of at least 42 playing minutes for each Team, every Thursday night!!! Yes, it's absolutely intense, but it's loads of fun and the absolute best way you can spend a Thursday evening in Summer!
Referees for each game will be appointed by the Club, so you just need to turn up, play and have fun. This year the Club is actively encouraging you to create and enter your own team and to mix it up - boys and girls of all ages can play in the same team. Get a team together with some of your school and/or sporting club mates, but invite some other friends or family to join that team too! And for the first time, we’re welcoming Family teams – Mums, Dads, Aunts, Uncles, Brothers and Sisters – rope them all in for some fun. And if you don’t have 7 in the family, mix it up and join in with another family for more fun! The BBQ and Canteen will also be churning out hot food and cold drinks, and the music will be pumping!
To assist with planning and logistics of the Program, the Club is seeking Expressions of Interest from Teams who may want to participate This year, the Program is open to all Age Groups - so any boys or girls - however the final makeup may be totally dependent on player numbers registering. Families, Boys, Girls and Mixed teams are all possible. It is anticipated that online registration and payment will open in early December 2019 using Rugby Australia's Registration and Competition Management system, which will provide discounts for those who continue onto the Club's Regular season commencing in April 2019.
The BEST part is that this awesome 5 week program is that we anticipate that it will still only cost $50 per player (actual cost to be advised once all third party fees/charges are confirmed with the Club). That's right, only $10 per night. Try and find better value than that! ONLY NEW PLAYERS in 2019 will receive a Reversible Playing Singlet (so your whole team can be in the same singlet), but all players will have insurance coverage and get access to an online Team Photo.
Once you have formed your Team, please have your Team Manager complete the Expression of Interest Form below with all the details. Please only submit 1 Expression of Interest Form for EACH Team.
