BSS Scholarships
This form will be used to submit your application for each of the awards offered at BSS as well as the community of Barriere. You will also need to submit your completed scholarship information package, as well as any other necessary information as outlined by specific scholarships or bursaries.

Danny Proulx Memorial Scholarship (1@$250)
Outstanding athletic and academic ability: For B.S.S. student who intends to pursue a career in physical education, recreation or education.*If no application for the above, scholarship may go to a student choosing another career
Gilbert Smith Forest Products Scholarship (1@$750)
Applicant must have achieved at a high academic level throughout their secondary years. Be planning to attend a post secondary institution in a degree or trades program.
Kamloops/Thompson Principals & Vice Principals Association Award (1@$500)
Based on academics, citizenship in school and community, leadership, and financial need.
Kamloops/Thompson Teachers' Association Scholarship/Bursary (1@$500)
Based on need, character, involvement, and service. School decides whether it is a scholarship or bursary.
Knights Inn Bursary (2@$300)
Lower North Thompson Community Forest Society Bursary (5@$2000 and 6@1000)
Financial Need – Must be grade 12 student enrolled at BSS. Positive role model as a citizen – Planning on attending post-secondary schooling (does not have to be a university)(needs proof of registration to collect bursary).
Monte Carlo Motel (1@$250)
Applicants must show evidence of community and school involvement, reasonable academic standing, and going on to post-secondary education.
North Thompson Catholic Women's League Bursary (1@$300)
Proof of registration and payment at a post secondary institute.
North Thompson Star Journal Bursary (1@$300)
Demonstrate initiative, dedication and community service.  Must show financial need.
Vera Gourley Bursary (1@600)
Awarded to a current grade 12 student of Barriere Secondary with a strong academic background who is enrolling in a program at TRU. Student should have a positive involvement and contribution to Barriere Secondary and demonstrate financial need. Sponsor issues cheque to student upon proof of registration
 Vera Gourley Scholarship (1@600)
Awarded to current grade 12 student of BSS with a strong academic background who is enrolling in a program at TRU.  Student should have a positive involvement and contribution to BSS. Sponsor issues cheque to student upon proof of registration.
David Stamer Memorial Bursary (1@$1000)
For a student entering post-secondary education in technical or trades fields. Priority given to student who also participates in extra curricular activities and community involvement.
Stamer Logging Scholarship (1@$1000)
For a student entering post-secondary education – academic or technical/trades field. Priority given to student who participates in extra curricular activities and community involvement.
