2024 Kindergarten Discovery Camp
The HCPA Summer School Program will run from June 17, 2024 to July 19, 2024. Kindergarten Discovery classes are highly recommended for new kindergarten students to HCPA.  Students will be focusing on the following:
   - Classroom routines
   - Reading and writing skills
   - Math skills
   - Social skills with HCPA Way or Positive Behavior Intervention System
   - Meeting their classmates and teachers

Please complete the attached application and return it to the main office by Tuesday, April 30, 2024.

Summer School Information:
         -  Dates: Monday, June 17th (start) to Friday, July 19th (end) with No School 6/19, 7/4 and 7/5.
         -  Monday through Friday (5 days a week) 
         -  Time: 8:00am to 2:00pm
         -  Onsite summer school (in the building)
         -  Breakfast and lunch will be provided to summer school students.
         -  Free transportation is provided for Minneapolis, St. Paul and select suburbs based on student needs and
            locations. We must have at least 10 students in the area to provide busing.

Rules & Regulations for HCPA Summer School
1)  Class disturbances will not be tolerated. If students are dismissed from class for inappropriate behavior it will count as an absence.

2)  Students are not permitted to wander the building. Any student in a restricted area will be subject to disciplinary action. This behavior could result in a suspension from school.

3)  Students will NOT be required to wear school uniforms for summer school, but must a dress appropriately for school.

4)  Violators of the above policy will be terminated from the program. This can occur at any time and all disciplinary action is at the discretion of the Summer School Coordinator and Administration.

5)  Students absent for more than 5 days in a row will be removed from the program without prior notification.

6)  Student MUST be enrolled in kindergarten at HCPA for the Fall of 2024.
