2019 UQPMS Mentor Program - Mentor Application
The UQ Premedical Society Mentor Program is a platform for interactions and connections between members of different ages, backgrounds and academic disciplines. More details of the program can be found here: http://uqpms.com/get-involved/mentor-program/.

We're looking for dedicated, fun-loving and diverse members to help our brand new freshers in their first semester of university! Experience in mentoring helps but it's not compulsory! This is a great way to complement your UQ Advantage Award, resume/CV and most of all to develop strong friendships with students in other years.

This year, we're trying out “mentor families”. You as a mentor will be paired up with a mentor from another group. Mentor familes can choose to meetup together or individually. We hope this will promote more active engagement in the program for mentors and mentees alike.

You are expected to meet with your mentor group/family every week - this can take any form you prefer! Past groups have visited night markets, met up for coffee or picnicked on the Great Court. Further briefing regarding meetups will be supplied to successful applicants.

Additionally, inter-mentor group events will be organised and attendance at these events is compulsory for you and your mentees. Your first event will be the Meat & Greet BBQ on Saturday of O-week (23rd February). The names of attendees will be noted at all events and acknowledgement will be provided accordingly at the end of the mentor program. If you cannot commit to these attendance requirements, please refrain from applying so all mentees can be supported equally.

Applications will close on the 26thst January 2019. Successful applicants will be contacted via email by Sunday, 31th January 2019.

We respect your privacy and do not tolerate spam. Your information will never be sold, rented, leased or given away (name, email, etc.) to any third party.
