How did you find out about volunteering with Chicago Debates?
Your answer
Have you been trained previously to judge or are you an experienced former debater? *
Are you a current high school student? *
High school judges must be JV or Varsity debaters and can only judge Novice or Rookie divisions. Note that HS debaters can be paid for judging at another Conference's tournaments but not their own Conference's tournaments.
Upcoming High School Tournaments
Please select the shifts you would like to volunteer as a judge for under each conference tournament. We have a much higher need for judges in High School than Middle School. Often our High School debaters will judge Middle School tournaments- a learning process that is beneficial for both the Middle School debater and the High School debater.
If you are specifically interested in helping with Middle School and not High School please contact volunteer@chicagodebates.org and specify a preference for Middle School.

One Day Tournaments are divided into two judging shifts, the AM and the PM shift.
If you are able to judge all day please select "All Day."

Morning shift is 8am-12:30pm
Afternoon shift is 12:00pm-6:00pm

Two Day Tournaments have an Evening shift on the Friday of the Tournament.
The Evening Shift is 5:00-8:30pm
