We at the Center of Excellence in STEM Education and the NE TN STEM Innovation Hub are facilitating a "Spread the Word" program again this school year to increase awareness of our supports for STEM education across northeast Tennessee.
Those who are awarded a kit will be asked to share our information and resources with your networks, as described below, so that we can reach more educators and community members across our service region.
Process
- Complete the application at least 2 weeks prior to one of our STEM Hub meetings: https://www.etsu.edu/coe/stem-education/innovation-hub/meetings.php
- Choose below the 4 ways you will increase awareness and reach of our programs
- Email Carrie evidence of completion of activities at least 1 week before the meeting: schefflerc@gmail.com
- Get confirmation from Carrie that you have met criteria
- Sign up and attend the STEM Hub meeting to get your kit!

Selection Criteria
Recipients will be chosen from those who complete this application by the deadline, with an emphasis on,
1) representation from ALL the counties we serve and grade bands (PK-5; 6-8; 9-12),
2) first time recipient of kit this academic year, and
3) the potential to increase awareness of our supports.
Eligibility
- Applications must be submitted no later than 2 weeks prior to the STEM Hub meeting
- One application and STEM kit per person, per academic year (exception: if extra kits remain in spring 2025, those who agree to participate and meet criteria by spring hub meeting may be eligible for a second kit)
- Must agree to complete activities chosen below and share evidence of completion at least 1 week prior to the Hub meeting
