Community Feedback: Temporary Bridge Housing Sites
Temporary Bridge Housing provides a temporary place to live for single individuals and families while they are supported to secure a permanent home. People are connected to bridge housing through outreach conducted before the temporary housing is open in the neighborhood where the temporary housing is located. People stay in bridge housing for an average of three to six months while being matched to a permanent home. Bridge housing offers more support than traditional shelters. Spaces are NOT offered on a first come, first served basis and people are NOT kicked out during the day. Loitering outside of the shelter is prohibited. Locations will be kept free of tents, litter and graffiti and no loitering will be permitted around the facilities.
