Cottage Conversations on Becoming a Sanctuary Congregation
During the first two weeks in February, the Immigration Justice Task Force will conduct cottage conversations at the times and places listed below for members and friends of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Monterey Peninsula to discuss the recommendation that UUCMP become a sanctuary congregation. A special congregational meeting has been scheduled for a vote on this issue at the annual meeting in May . These conversations will be conducted by members of the Task Force which hopes to engage all congregation members so that we fully air all issues and work to ensure that the congregation can make an informed decision.
