The School District of Philadelphia Needs to Hear from YOU!
Priority 1 of Accelerate Philly is to improve the physical, social-emotional and environmental safety for our children and our school leaders. One of the strategic actions for accomplishing this is an examination of, and a plan to improve, our physical learning spaces.
At the direction from the Board of Education, the School District of Philadelphia has formally begun a facilities planning process to assess and better manage the district’s school buildings.
The first step: engaging our parents and guardians, students, and school leaders in conversation about our school environments.
What role, if any, should our schools play in supporting our communities?
What is your criteria for a school building to operate in its current capacity?
What are the values by which these decisions should be made?
These questions, and more, need to be asked; and only you can answer them. Please join us for an in-person Community Conversation about our Facilities.
Due to space limitations at some locations, registration is highly encouraged for in-person sessions, but is not required.
