In order to maximize faculty and student use of the laptops while minimizing loss or damage to the equipment, DLIS has developed the following policies and procedures:
1. This form must be signed by DLIS staff and the laptop borrower.
2. Equipment is to be signed out for a specific time period, usually not to exceed two weeks.
3. Everyone is expected to provide their own storage device and save their information elsewhere. The information on DLIS laptops will be automatically deleted when the device is powered down. Please make sure to save your work on an external hard drive, USB, or in the cloud to access it again. Also make sure the indicated button on the side is pushed to the forward position for wireless connection.
4. Faculty, staff and students are expected to return the equipment by the specified due date in proper working order. Lost, damaged or stolen equipment will be the responsibility of the borrower to repair or replace.
