2022-2023 Wilder Elementary Behavior Expectations
Dear Parents,

All students are important and need a positive learning environment. We are utilizing the following discipline plan in order to provide an excellent learning climate for your child. The campus-wide expectations are listed below.

Behavior Expectations:
1. Listen and follow directions
2. Keep hands, feet, and objects to self
3. Be respectful
4. Be safe
5. Follow Social Contract
6. Follow Technology/Device Expectations

Locations:
CR - Classroom
C - Cafeteria
A - Art Room
M - Music Room
G - Gym
D - Dismissal
L - Library
H - Hallway
R - Recess
P - POD/Restroom

If your child chooses to break an expectation, he/she will receive a conduct mark indicating that expectation and location. All students will receive two verbal warnings before a conduct mark/consequence is given. These warnings will often come in the form of our questions for accountability: “What are you doing?” “What are you supposed to be doing?” “Are you doing it?” “What are your going to do about it?”

Student technology/devices to include cellphones, smart watches, tablets, and laptops need to be powered off and stored in students' backpacks during the school day. Personal technology may be used for instructional purposes only upon classroom teacher approval. Wilder Elementary follows the district technology policy of "Not seen, not heard, not taken". If a student is found to be using personal technology devices without approval, the device will be taken up by the classroom teacher and taken to the front office. Parents may be required to pay $15 to retrieve the device.

Consequences:
Conduct Mark
Note/Call Home
Parent Conference
Office Referral
*Severe disruptions will result in an automatic office referral.

Your child's conduct/behavior calendar will be sent home daily. Please review the calendar and return daily. Please be prepared to sign the conduct sheet once per week on the day designated by your child's teacher. A student’s conduct grade on their report card is a direct reflection of their daily behavior throughout that grading period.

Please complete this Google Form to indicate you understand the behavior expectations listed above.
