Communal Passover Seder 5779
We're so pleased you are interested in attending a Passover seder organized by Shaarei Shamayim. We will provide the space (The Commons area and kitchen in the Atrium building at the First Unitarian Society), haggadot (books that you'll read from), and food sign up. You'll provide the food, setup and clean up of the seder, leadership of the seder, and great energy! Last year we had around 50 people. The only way this will work is if everyone signs up to bring something -- a cooked dish or wine/matzah plus the ritual items. The date is for the second night of Passover -- Saturday, April 20. Please fill out this form to help us with the planning. RSVPs are required and must be received by Monday, April 15.
What is your name?
Are you interested in leading part of the seder?
I would be happy to lead a part of the seder.
I would rather not lead any parts of the seder.
We are counting on everyone helping with either set up or clean up. Which job do you prefer?
I can help with both!
I am unable to help with either.
How many guests will you bring?
Tell us how you feel about kitniyot (corn, rice, beans, etc.) on Passover
I would not want to be at a seder with kitniyot.
It's my custom to eat kitniyot but I will refrain from doing so if others don't want it at their seder.
I do not mind if others eat kitniyot, but I myself do not eat it.
Let us know if you have any ritual items to use, like kiddush cups, matza plate, afikomen bag, etc.
What kind of seder are you interested in attending?
Short and sweet.
Nice and long so we have the opportunity to discuss important issues that arise.
Somewhere in the middle.
If there are particular political or religious issues that you wish to focus on in the seder please let us know what they are.
Is there anything else we should know?
