Crust Worthy Job Interest Form
We are looking for help with our weekly farmers market stands and in the bakery!
Positions are currently seasonal (May-Dec), with opportunity for more involvement and growth throughout the year. Opportunities are offered as individual positions, or for the right candidate, a joint-position.
For both positions we are offering $15/hour and a steady supply of fresh bread and pastries.
MINIMUM, ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY REQUIREMENTS (both positions):
-- Access to a reliable vehicle, to get to and from bakery and/or market sites (with bulky supplies, if necessary).
-- Food Handlers ServSafe Certification (a brief online course - we can help you get this!)
Preferred Qualifications for MARKET/DELIVERY ASSISTANT:
-- Friendly and welcoming to stand visitors
-- Keeps stand clean and organized, with great attention to detail
-- Knowledge of regional food systems and/or interest in local baking
-- Appreciation for quality baked goods and sourdough breads
-- Able to lift 30lbs and stand for 4 hours in all weather (you’ll have a tent cover, or course)
-- Our current market schedule requires the following approximate time commitments, although you will not necessarily be expected to work every market and delivery day: Tuesdays, 2pm-8pm, Saturdays, 8am - 2pm, and Saturday deliveries, 2-5pm
Preferred Qualifications for BAKERY ASSISTANT:
-- Passion for food, cooking, and/or baking
-- 2 years commercial kitchen or bakery experience
-- Keeps workspace clean and organized, able to multitask, and has great attention to detail
-- Able to lift 50lbs (we get big bags of flour!)
-- Willingness to wake up early, stand for 8 hour days (with breaks, of course) and do lots of dishes (we’ll share them, I promise)
-- Willingness to learn! There is much room for growth and creativity in this position.
-- Our current baking schedule is Monday through Friday, although your starting schedule will be 2-4 days a week. Scheduling has some flexibility, though we prefer a candidate able to work mornings and early afternoons.
