As part of RRHS 1:1 Program, the RRHS Mobile Device Use Agreement helps schools, students, and families ensure that these learning devices are well kept throughout the school year. Please be sure to read the entire Device Agreement before signing below.
Your school can provide you with a printed copy of the RRHS Mobile Device Use Agreement & Device Guide for your review and records. You can also access a digital copy by going to https://goo.gl/FyxyYP.
Below you will find portions of the RRHS Mobile Device Use Agreement. There are two sections that need to be reviewed and completed: one for the student and one for the parent/guardian.
Title: Legal title to the property is in the District and shall at all times remain in the District. Your right of possession and use is limited to and conditioned upon your full and complete compliance with this Agreement and the Parent/Student Mobile Device Guide.
Loss or Damage: If the property is damaged, lost or stolen, you are responsible for the reasonable cost of repair or its fair market value on the date of loss. Loss or theft of the property must be reported to the District within five school days after the occurrence. Lost or damaged power adapters and cords must be replaced through Round Rock ISD and the student will be charged according to the Estimated Repair Pricing schedule. A table of estimated pricing for a variety of repairs is included in the Parent/Student Mobile Device Guide to which reference is hereby made.
Repossession: If you do not fully comply with all terms of this Agreement and the Parent/Student Mobile Device Guide, including the timely return of the property, the District shall be entitled to declare you in default and has the right to collect the device from the parent or student.
Term of Agreement: Your right to use and possession of the property terminates no later than the last day of the school year unless earlier terminated by the District or upon withdrawal from the District/ Campus.
Appropriation: Your failure to timely return the property and the continued use of it for non-school purposes without the District’s consent may be considered unlawful appropriation of the District’s property.
Content Filtering: Parents, it is your responsibility to supervise your children when using district provided technology at all times. Although internet content filters and other security layers are in place when students are on district property and at home, devices that are checked out and taken home may encounter inappropriate content. You are key to the support for promoting responsible and safe use by setting and communicating expectations, supervising activity and monitoring the safe handling and securing of district property while in the possession of students.
