Children attending Pioneer Day Camp must be able to: 1) Move on foot on uneven, outdoor terrain and negotiate natural obstacles, such as hills, streams, and boulders; 2) Lift and carry a small backpack for hiking; 3) Follow directions and participate willingly in camp activities; 4) Refrain from violence, hitting, verbal assault, bullying, or any similar behavior; 5) Listen well, show respect for others, work, play and interact in large and small groups without one-on-one assistance; 5) Participate in normal activities related to self-care, health and hygiene, including using the toilet; 6) Abide by PDC rules as explained by camp staff; 7) Promptly notify PDC Staff of any health condition that requires medical attention or change of activity.
