National Board Certification Advocacy Training
As NBCTs and supporters of National Board Certification in North Carolina, we promote accomplished teaching to our colleagues and we lead by example for our students. We know that research supports Certification as a vehicle toward improved student performance and teacher retention. In this training, participants will develop a personal message to "tell your story" to community members and school administrators. The goal is to advocate for district support of National Board Certification and the educators who choose to certify. As a community of NBCTs, district coordinators, and local leaders, we can advocate together to promote accomplished teaching practices for every classroom, every student, every day.

There is no cost to participate in this training. Lunch and materials will be provided for each team from the NCAE NBCT Network Leading, Empowering, and Advocating for the Profession (LEAP) grant from NBPTS and the Kellogg Foundation. Each member of a district team should complete this registration form before Friday, July 6, 2019.
