Graduate/Dietetic Intern Academic Scholarship
This Memphis Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Scholarship coincides with criteria in place by the Tennessee Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize dietetics students/interns who demonstrate outstanding scholastic ability and professional potential. Applicants are judged on grade point average; ability to follow directions, organize information, and complete the application; writing skills; references; participation and leadership in professional activities; having a well-rounded lifestyle (i.e., involvement in part-time jobs, volunteerism, and extracurricular activities); and, when present, a financial need.

Eligibility Criteria
- Enrolled in an ACEND accredited dietetic education program in Tennessee – see application for specific requirements
- Student Member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
- Minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Have not previously been awarded any Memphis Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics scholarship
Application Packet Must Include:
1. Completed application form.

2. Transcripts from all colleges/universities attended.

3. Proof of enrollment in or acceptance to a college/university or dietetic internship.

4. A letter which includes your
    - Unique abilities and qualifications that make you appropriate for receiving this award
    - Professional goals.

5. Two letters of recommendation submitted* to awards_scholarships@eatrightmemphis.org by:
    - Your academic advisor (if enrolled in Graduate program) OR Program Director (if enrolled in Dietetic Technician Program, Didactic Program, or Internship)
    - A registered dietitian who has supervised a clinical or field training experience OR a registered dietitian instructor/educator OR a present or former employer

​​    *Recommendation Letters must be:
    - Emailed by the person who writes them, to awards_scholarships@eatrightmemphis.org
    - Attached to the email in PDF format
    - The subject should read, "Recommendation Letter for Undergrad Scholarship for [Name of the Applicant]"

Applications must be submitted yearly by November 2nd.
Scholarship winners will be notified prior to the end of the calendar year and recognized at the annual Holiday Party
