VentureSpark Academy Application

What is it?
VentureSpark Academy is a four session virtual entrepreneurship incubator program culminating in a exclusive Sunrise Venture Pitch Competition where you can win up to $500 in cash. Four mentors, including a UCI professor and a successful startup founder, will break down essential business fundamentals and guide you through crafting an original business pitch.
Why should I participate?
VentureSpark Academy is an exclusive opportunity to be mentored by business experts and gain experience in the field. It is a great college application/resume booster, and your pitch has the chance to win you up to $500. You will also receive a certificate signed by all the speakers at the end of the program.
When are the workshop sessions?
February 17th 6-8pm: Business Model Canvas with David Ochi, business professor at UCI
March 3rd 6-8pm: Market Strategy and Pricing Structures with Tony Crisp, CEO of CRISPx
March 10th 6-7pm: Harvard Med-Tech Entrepreneur Chris Wagner Shares Startup Lessons
March 17th 6-8pm: Financial Basics with Don Voss, CFO of Sigma Analytics  
March 31st 6-8pm: Crafting a Pitch with John Russo, business professor at IVC
When is the pitch competition?
The competition will have a first virtual round, where all participants submit a 90-second video pitch of their business idea. Selected finalists (10-15) will proceed to the finalist round, tentatively scheduled for April 26 and location/time TBD.
