Canada's Placemaking: Community Conversations on Fostering Social Connection through Placemaking

Canada’s Placemaking Community and Happy Cities are excited to invite you to an online session to connect with placemakers from across Canada. Join us to share your stories and experiences! Together, we hope to learn more about creating community-led spaces and programs that enhance our social connection and wellbeing.

Fostering Social Connection through Placemaking  Thursday, June 13 from 1:00pm-2:30pm ET / 10:00am -11:30am PST

This session will explore how placemaking supports social connection and belonging within our communities. We will dive into how these initiatives can create opportunities for meaningful social connections, and the interwoven relationships between place, belonging, and inclusion. This session is relevant for participants interested in events and activities, festivals and open streets, design interventions, and other types of community-led activations.
