Memphis in May World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest: Barbecue Marketplace Team Participation Form

Memphis in May is excited to introduce the Barbecue Marketplace, a unique opportunity for WCBCC teams and pitmasters to sell their signature rubs and sauces directly to consumers. Memphis Barbeque Supply (MBS) will be the designated vendor of the Barbecue Marketplace of the 2025 World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
  • Teams can sell up to five (5) different rub or sauce products in the Barbecue Marketplace.
  • A maximum of 36 bottles per product is allowed.
  • Teams must submit their signed participation form and product details by April 4, 2025.
  • Teams will be notified the week of April 7th of product selection. Memphis in May will handle the shipping and returning of products. 
  • Teams must ship or deliver products to MBS by April 25, 2025. More details to come. 
TERMS OF PARTICIPATION

  • Teams will set a wholesale price per bottle for each product.

  • MBS will inventory all product and manage sales.

  • Teams will be paid by MIM for the wholesale cost of products sold.
  • Unsold product will be available for team on-site Saturday evening/Sunday morning or have them shipped back (shipping costs deducted from settlement). More details to come. 

TEAM SIGNAGE & PROMOTION

  • MIM will create signage to identify participating teams within the Marketplace.

  • MIM will promote the Marketplace to consumers.

  • A dedicated Barbecue Marketplace page on the MIM website will list participating teams, with links to their websites and additional offerings (such as barbecue classes).

  • QR codes will be displayed at the event to direct attendees to the Marketplace page.
