Free Covid Tests PDX Volunteer Interest Form
Hi I'm Lisa (all pronouns) and I've launched a community project to get free covid tests out to everyone who needs free access. You're invited to fill out this form if you're interested in helping in any way.

There are several different types of roles needed to support this effort to get free tests out into the community! No one will see your answers to this form except me.

[For accessibility: there are 6 questions, and a More Info section at the end. It might take about 2-5 minutes to fill this out. Email FreeCovidTestsPDX@proton.me for assistance. Click here to use this form on Cryptpad]

All volunteers will be free to choose any/all roles that feel good for your time and capacity, and to change or end your participation at any time.
--> Honoring our own and each other’s capacity and boundaries is crucial in resisting ableism and building the community we need.

This is a multi-pronged plan to get tests out into the community.
--> Encouraging public hubs to order and distribute free tests is one prong. Volunteers can also get tests directly from the central hub (me) to distribute in their own circles/smaller hubs.

Finding our own ways to stay safe shouldn't fall on us as individuals, but since the covid crisis isn't being addressed satisfactorily, we are stepping up to keep our communities safer and send the message that no one is disposable.
--> As disabled, BIPOC, queer/trans and poor people, we have a sacred history of resisting those who seek to oppress us, and the systems they have created.
--> Doing this work is one part of our duties to people who are incarcerated or living under occupation, and who have been stripped of resources for their own safety and autonomy.
--> In practicing mutual aid, we are improving conditions in our local communities and reducing the harm caused to the global majority.

"Mutual aid is the radical act of caring for each other while working to change the world." -- Dean Spade
