Please sign up for one of our many volunteer opportunities in April and May as we construct our Fence and Garden in Vestal. Please submit one form per person. -We are building at 4737 Deerfield Place (at Temple Israel, near the JCC) Please arrive on time so that you can receive a mini volunteer orientation and an introduction to VINES. There is on street parking.

-These workdays are rain or shine.

-Please dress for the weather in comfortable clothing and close toed shoes.

-We will have a water cooler and cups, but we recommend you bring a reusable water bottle!

-There is no experience needed, there will be instruction provided on site -- it's very simple and so fun!

-We will have all the tools, including gloves, provided. If you have a favorite tool feel free to bring it along, but make sure it is labeled.

-There are tasks for children ages 6 & up. Younger children may attend with adult supervision at the digression of their guardians.

-If you can't stay for the full shift, no worries! We're happy to have any help you can provide!

Volunteers Improving Neighborhood Environments (VINES) is an organization committed to developing a sustainable and just community food system. We do this by bringing together diverse groups of people, with a focus on youth development, to establish community gardens, urban agriculture and community green spaces. We strive to develop and beautify urban sites and empower community members of all ages and abilities.
