The Northeast Wisconsin Section of the American Chemical Society is soliciting proposals from area high school chemistry teachers to purchase supplies or equipment for teaching or research purposes or for professional development in chemistry and chemical education. The teacher does not have to be a member of the local ACS section to apply.

Proposals must be submitted by October 1, 2018 via this form.

1. The principal investigator must be a high school chemistry teacher.
2. The principal investigator’s high school must be located in the region served by the Northeast Wisconsin Ssection of the ACS (Brown, Calumet, Door, Fond du Lac, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, Marinette, Menominee, Oconto, Outagamie, Shawano, Waupaca, Waushara, and Winnebago counties in Wisconsin and Menominee county in Michigan).
3. The maximum grant award is $1000; however, smaller requests are encouraged because they will allow for funding of multiple awards.
4. The funds must be used to purchase supplies or equipment for teaching or research purposes at the chemistry teacher’s high school or for professional development in chemistry or chemical education during the 2018-2019 academic year. Any equipment purchased with the grant funds will belong to the teacher’s high school.
5. Grant recipients should submit receipts along with photographs and/or short written descriptions for use in the Northeast Wisconsin Section’s communications.
6. A description of the activities to be supported by the grant should be provided below.
