The aim of this research is to enhance the understanding of Serbian as a heritage language by exploring the connections between the linguistic and cultural identities of Serbian diaspora communities. Your participation in this study will help us better understand the processes related to learning and maintaining the Serbian language within the diaspora. We also hope to find ways to improve activities for preserving the Serbian language in the diaspora. The direct benefit you will receive from participating in this study is a better understanding of your own beliefs and attitudes towards the languages you use daily. We believe this research will also contribute to increasing the visibility of the Serbian diaspora both in Serbia and abroad.

Your name and all personal data will remain anonymous. The only personal information that will be analyzed and anonymously discussed in research papers are your experiences related to learning and using the Serbian language. The data collected during this research will be stored in an open access database and may be used in further research on the Serbian language in the diaspora. In publishing the results, we will not use information that could be linked to your identity. Such information will be stored separately from your questionnaire responses.
