Perry Cavanagh Sport Leadership Award
This award recognizes and celebrates the outstanding contribution of a sport club or organization, which has made a significant positive contribution to the betterment of sport in Calgary.

The award winner will receive a $2,000 grant* and a commemorative crystal award.
* 50% allocated toward the organizational operating cost or equipment.
   50% allocated toward fees assistance for athletes / members.
Representatives of the nominated organizations must be attending Celebration of Sport
Winners will be announced at Celebration of Sport on September 17, 2025

Eligibility
 The sport club or organization must be:
  • Calgary based or be a local branch of a provincial, national or international organization
  • Currently active and in good standing in their community and with Sport Calgary.
  • A representative from the nominated organization must attend the event

Nominations for 2025 are due by August 31, 2025
  • Finalists will be expected to attend the award ceremony
  • All Award Winners will be required to provide the Sport Calgary with an electronic copy of their logo/masthead to be displayed on the Sport Calgary website and reproduced on all materials as they relate to the awards or the event at which they are given
  •  Sport Calgary reserves the right to publish or re-publish all media related reporting, recognition and/or acknowledgement of the awards
