Participate in the Great Clarinet Summit's Play-Along Piece!
Join other Boston-area clarinetists in Kresge Auditorium at 8pm on Friday, May 11th in a celebration of the clarinet and those (at all levels) who play it!

This unique event features renowned clarinetists Don Byron, Evan Ziporyn, Billy Novick, Eran Egozy and Anat Cohen performing with the MIT Festival Jazz Ensemble and MIT Wind Ensemble, led by Music Director Frederick Harris, Jr.

The exciting and eclectic program will include Byron’s Concerto for Clarinet and Wind Ensemble, music for jazz, classical and chamber ensembles featuring the clarinet, and a special world premiere composition by Jamshied Sharifi for our guest soloists, participating ‘all play' clarinetists of all ages, and both the MIT FJE and MITWE.

If you're interested in playing along with us on May 11th, please fill out the following form. Upon completion you’ll be able to access the ‘all play’ clarinet music, a midi sound file recording of the piece, and a welcome letter that includes rehearsal options.

All clarinetists are highly encouraged to participate! Whether you're a seasoned professional musician, an elementary, middle/high school, or collegiate student, or even just dusting off that clarinet in your attic and diving back in, you don’t want to miss this once in a lifetime opportunity!
