Classified Staff: District Compliance Officer (DCO) Interest Form
A District Compliance Officer (DCO) is a non-voting member of a selection committee whose purpose is to ensure the hiring process is equitable for all applicants and protect the District from liability. DCOs receive extensive training from HR on EEO regulations and the District's hiring procedures. DCOs will serve on committees of all employee types including Administration, CAST, Faculty and Classified. Their main responsibilities are:

1) Observe and monitor the hiring process for compliance with District hiring procedures and applicable federal and state EEO laws and regulations pertaining to hiring processes.

2) Serve as a resource to hiring committees regarding District hiring practices and regulations.

3) Intervene or halt the hiring process to prevent violations and/or redirect the hiring process to comply with applicable regulations.
