Pacific New England Gathering - Saturday October 5, 2024

Please join us for the next Pacific New England gathering at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. During this meeting, we will focus our attention on supporting early career and junior scholars, postdocs, and graduate students. Without adequate institutional support for Asian American studies scholarship at many institutions, it seems particularly urgent to think of ways to build new networks, to expansively engage our field, and to nurture our intellectual and political commitments. All are welcome to attend. We hope this gathering will be of particular utility for those in the early stages of their careers. 

We envision the day consisting of a morning session featuring speakers who will discuss book, journal, and public facing scholarship publishing. The afternoon session will consist of junior scholars’ presentations/workshops. We hope this space will be stimulating, generative, and most of all, fun! Given that we have not convened for some time, it will just be nice to be in community with one another.
